Glasgow Argyle Street

A historic Glasgow pub and restaurant dating back to 1797, known for its grand interiors, courtyard beer garden, ceilidhs and a lively atmosphere.

Sloans

Booked an outdoor table for my partners birthday. For 2 courses and drinks we were around £70, which I thought was great. You order everything inside at the bar. Food was good and service was really fast, only downside was bringing the desserts while we still had our mains. Sticky toffee was much better than the cheesecake 😊

If you want to take an establishment that has good food and a quaint Scottish vibe inside and pleasant outside terrace and completely wipe away almost all the hospitality, then Sloans did it perfectly. Staff were mostly uninterested and disconnected and felt almost robotic. I have to give credit to some staff who still gave a personal touch. You are ordering off a QR code menu and an app and being serviced by a table number. No interaction with staff, just plates efficiently dropped at your table. So sad to see that a place with good food and efficient service misses the most important aspects of the restaurant and hospitality business. I can’t recommend unless these things don’t matter to you. Sometimes profits are more important to some.

We hosted a ceilidh here and it was honestly the best night ever. Staff, food, atmosphere, organisation of events staff - all 10/10 could not fault. Super grateful to them all.

What a treat! We ate inside but certainly outside would have been great. We had the locally brewed beer, fried haddock, and Steak and Guiness pie. A perfect way to end the day!

Not tasted food yet, but going back so I will defenetly update 😋 Taking Husband for the legendary Macaroni Cheese! So keep posted!

I went with a friend, I had Latte and a Rum, service was really good, all ages, card only payments, plenty of drink and food options.

Staff were friendly, plenty entertainment on, something for everyone!

Defenetly worth a visit.
