Glasgow Finnieston

A stylish Finnieston cocktail bar and café serving creative drinks, brunch and modern dishes in a relaxed West End setting.

Kelvingrove Café

Kelvingrove cafe - excellent cocktail bar - Paloma good, burger (amazing), love the menu presentation especially when you have left your glasses at the hotel! Menabrea pint always a winner, went for charcuterie plate, avoided the temptation of cheese on toast or burgers sub 10k steps today! Skilled bartending, good service FOH, tunes bob on and eve lighting bang on. 8.9/10 went back for cheese on toast another night -superb!

Kudos was shut so headed across the road and hit this lovely cafe - great eggs benny super pro service and nice coffee - also looks like a fun bar at night time. Highly recommend! ⭐

They take their cocktails seriously at Kelvingrove Café and make a mean whisky sour using Glengoyne 12-year-old as I discovered on a recent visit. Every month they also feature a different classic cocktail – from the British Bramble to Mexican Margarita – with each of the talented bartenders creating their own riff on it (note to self: come back to explore this soon).
They’re also justifiably famous for huge ramekins of bubbling French onion soup topped with a thick coating of Gruyère cheese (almost more than I could finish for lunch).
I had a peek at their Sunday roast menu too and see why that's got a firm following, especially luxed up sides like lobster mac’n’cheese.
The friendly team creates a warm, welcoming atmosphere even when they're obviously flat out. And I love the old world look of the exposed stone walls, weathered parquetry floor and wooden marble-topped bar with brass railing.
There’s good natural light from the large front windows overlooking Argyle Street too.
I'll definitely be back on my next visit to Glasgow!

Loverly little cafe friendly helpful team. Managed to get a table for 6 without booking. Loverly food and coffee. The French Onion Soup was epic ! The Stornaway Eggs were lovely with such a great big piece of black pudding. Avocado eggs were also excellent as well. Highly recommend a visit if you are in the area.

Went here on a trip recently for breakfast, ordered smoked salmon with poached eggs. 10/10 the meal was outstanding. Their coffee is great and the place felt calm and relaxing. I have never had black pudding before going here and loved it on the first bite. Highly recommend.
