Nomad Escape

Outstanding Escape Room Experience!

We had an absolutely fantastic time at Nomad and couldn’t recommend it highly enough. A huge thank you to Richard, Fran, Stevie and Konstantin for making our visit so memorable. Every member of the team was incredibly friendly, welcoming and passionate, and we had the most amazing time from start to finish.

During our visit, we played The Jail, Deep Space Zero, Conspiracy, and Haunted Circus. A special mention goes to The Jail, which we played with the actor included. Actor added a completely different dimension to the game, bringing so much energy, humour and immersion. It genuinely felt like we were part of the story rather than just solving puzzles in a room. The interactions were hilarious, unexpected and made the experience unforgettable!

Fran, my queen, hats off to you I absolutely loved how this game flowed. You can tell so much thought has gone into the player experience. Everything connected so naturally, and it was one of those rooms where every puzzle felt satisfying and made perfect sense when solved. An absolute joy to play!

Thank you again to Richard, Fran, Stevie and Konstantin for the warm welcome, the laughs, and for creating such an amazing experience. We can’t wait to come back and take on more rooms in the future!xx

W. O. W. This places rules so hard that I haven't stopped bouncing off the walls in over a day. The excitement is real.

We've long been fans of Escape Envelope, the at-home escape games made by the team behind Nomad, so I've waited a long time to try their in-person rooms in Glasgow. The site is super easy to find in the city, and we even found close parking in Duke St car park (only £6 for 24hrs!)

Let me preface this by saying that I am well versed in both escape rooms and horror experiences. So when I say that Nomad Escape is incredible, I mean that its team have created one of the greatest start-to-end experiences I've ever seen. Not just in Scotland. Nomad isn't only great because they're doing live actor horror escape rooms in a UK scene that has very little of that; they're just GREAT in general. Capital G, capital everything. Maybe it was just a place made only for me, but the vibe here is a total vibe where you could happily stay for a long time. Customer service, staff attitude and enthusiasm, waiting area design, props, puzzles, lighting, clever use of audio and music, all the little touches that elevate a place have maxxed out stats.

It almost feels insulting to call Nomad JUST an escape room location... Because the immersion levels of the two rooms we did (Haunted Circus and The Jail) made me feel so giddy and childlike that I needed 24 hours to collect my thoughts and confirm that the feeling was real. Well, yes. It was. This is a place created by immersive experience lovers for people who love immersive experiences. And the perfect place to introduce new players to them!

There's a sense of artistic endeavour and real creativity to it all. So much love is present, movie references and humour are scattered around for those who go searching for them. The lingering spirit of each game makes you feel like it was probably much harder to keep things OUT these rooms than to think of things to put in them.

From start to finish, the customer experience cultivated by the team is stunning. Fran, Richard, Ollie and the team are bright, beautiful and hilariously funny humans. The waiting area is lovingly decorated like a cosy goth living room, the type of place where Chris Issak's Wicked Game would play on loop and the main squad would pick up a new member in a new post-Stranger Things Scooby Doo live action movie.

The live actor element absolutely elevated the experience for an escape room. They don't just exist to jump scare you, and they don't, like is common in continental Europe, perform a scene before every room progression via multiple characters. Here, it is handled with a level of nuance, most of the time ending in a situation where you FEEL their presence, rather than SEE it. That makes it even scarier. We were both trained like pavlov's dogs, a number of times scuttering into a hiding place, terrified of a clown... Only to find that it was just the sound of our own feet moving! And when we WERE touched or chased, there was a genuine purpose to it.

I've been to so many haunts and horror experiences that, no matter how great, don't allow you to truly live in an environment for a little while. Well, here you get a chance to do that. And, by solving puzzles, you feel more like an actor in a movie, making choices and solving problems vs "solving puzzles to escape a room". No puzzles left me so frustrated that I became hellbent on fury (more the puzzles eagerly waiting for the call to burn us instead for excessive overthinking). It's all such a perfect mix.

I will be back ASAP.

We had a fantastic time in the Haunted Circus room, definitely worth it to play with the actor! All of the staff were friendly and helpful and the room was thrilling and just the right amount of frightening. Would recommend to anyone looking for an exciting thing to do in Glasgow.

Just completed The Conspiracy as a team of three and had a great time! Big thanks to our lovely Game Master Konstantin for hosting us and the rest of the staff were so friendly and welcoming too. The decor was gorgeous, perfectly on theme and had some fantastic puzzles with a nice mix of searching and solving and we really enjoyed the technology incorporated into the room. Overall a great experience, would definitely recommend and will certainly be coming back to Nomad to try some more rooms!

We played Prison with some coworkers (Locked In Team!) a couple days ago and had the best time!!!

Our game master Konstantin was incredible and made our game so much fun, we had a such a good time with her. Another thanks to the other staff Richard, Fran and Stevie who were so welcoming and truly made our time so much fun.

I will absolutely be back for another game and highly recommend!
